Mission Statement
In the Jewish world, outside and inside the State of Israel, there is estrangement: between "religious" and "nonreligious", between the languages of secular culture and science and traditional learning. Yet the essential oneness of the Jewish people, and beyond this the potential oneness of humanity, reveals this as abnormal and non-normative. The Institute for Judaism and Civilization conducts many seminars, projects and publishes publications, which seek to create an interface between Torah and secular society. Within this scope, it also has a strong interest in the “Noahide laws”, the universal code of ethics established with Noah, and his descendants, all humanity. |
